Office IT relocation planning in Belgrade

An office move is not complete when the computers arrive. NBG TEAM prepares the IT work: an equipment inventory, network readiness, shutdown and reconnection order, and checks that employees can work at the new location.

Start while the new office is being prepared

An expensive surprise is an office with desks but no active internet, suitable network outlets or equipment space. We begin with your team’s requirements and the condition of the new site, identifying the systems the business needs on its first working day.

The service covers agreed IT work for offices in Belgrade and New Belgrade. Physical transport, electrical installation, building work and provider activation have their own contractors and lead times. Their responsibilities need to be coordinated with the IT plan.

What the technical plan covers

  • An inventory and labels for computers, displays, networking, servers and peripherals.
  • Internet readiness, network points, WiFi coverage and equipment placement.
  • Existing configuration records and an agreed pre-move backup check.
  • The order of shutdown, reconnection and testing.
  • Responsible contacts and an acceptable interruption window.

New cable runs, extra outlets or different network equipment are separate proposal items. Workstation positions and room use determine the plan; the number of desks alone is not sufficient.

Checks before and after the move

The new site before computers arrive

Where conditions allow, we test internet connectivity and the basic network before moving day. Provider or cabling problems can then be addressed while the old office is still available.

Reconnection in priority order

We establish the network foundation, then the required servers and workstations in the agreed sequence. Users test their applications, files, email and printing rather than accepting a handover based only on devices switching on.

What your business receives

The final checklist records tested workstations and services, plus outstanding tasks for another contractor or the provider. We check access to approved shared resources, guest WiFi where present and the placement of important equipment. A contact route for initial issues is agreed.

A changed public address or connection method may affect remote access, application-vendor restrictions and VPN connections. Networks with different device groups may also benefit from a review of access segmentation.

Scheduling and cost

The number of workstations and servers, cabling condition and readiness of the new space determine the proposal. Out-of-hours work and coordination with other contractors are agreed in advance. Send a floor plan and target date so we can establish prerequisites and a realistic order of work.

For the wider service, see network infrastructure. Our IT services pricing page explains billing; the scope of this project is confirmed in a proposal.

Questions about this service

Does the service include equipment transport?
Physical transport is not included by default in IT work. The agreement distinguishes packing, transport, technical shutdown and reconnection, with a responsible party for each.
Can the business keep working during the move?
Parallel or remote work depends on applications and infrastructure. After review, we propose phases and expected interruptions rather than promising zero downtime in advance.
When should we involve IT support?
Before finalising workstation positions and cabling, and early enough for internet activation. If the move is already booked, we first check prerequisites that could affect the date.
