What this intervention covered
On 14 October 2026, NBG TEAM replaced one computer, transferred data, installed a printer and prepared digital certificate functionality. The work covered functions the user needed for documents and business portals.
This task brings together several areas of IT support: computer preparation, file transfer, peripherals and digital signing software. Each area has its own final check, making software installation one step in preparing a workstation.
What was checked after replacing the computer
After preparation, specific functions were tested on the replacement computer. We document the result through the checks performed:
| Area | Work and verification |
|---|---|
| Business data | Data was transferred and checked by opening it on the replacement computer. |
| Printer | The printer was installed and a test print was completed. |
| Digital signature | Certificate functionality was configured and document signing was tested. |
| Business portals | Certificate-based access to eFakture and ePorezi was verified. |
These checks establish that the listed functions worked on the prepared computer at the time of testing. Further support and additional applications depend on the user's needs and agreed scope.
Certificates during a computer replacement: what needs to fit together
Digital signing depends on the certificate, card or token, reader, suitable client software and application used for signing or authentication. It helps to identify the certificate issuer and required portals in advance.
Across the everyday work described here, NBG TEAM worked with Nexus software, Pošta certificates and Serbian identity card certificates. Nexus Personal Desktop Client is client software for smart cards and tokens, authentication and signing. Software for Pošta certificates is selected according to Pošta's instructions; identity card software follows MUP documentation.
Pošta documents restrictions on installing other certificate client software alongside its package because of possible conflicts. The existing environment should therefore be reviewed before adding a package, and components selected for the specific certificate and computer. In this example, final checks included both signing and portal access.
A short checklist before handing over a computer
For the next replacement, a business can prepare a list of functions the user needs at the new workstation:
- Important transferred files open in the user's environment.
- Required business applications and approved access are available.
- Printing works from the application actually used for documents.
- The card or token is recognised and a sample document can be signed.
- Required portals accept sign-in with the appropriate certificate.
- Before retiring the old computer, the transfer scope and retention of remaining data have been agreed and verified.
For a wider environment review, use our business IT health checklist with 20 checks and a PDF. It covers access, backups, equipment and networks, helping separate workstation preparation from open issues across the business.
A separate example: installing certificates through remote support
On the same day, NBG TEAM installed new document-signing certificates on two different computers through online support. This was a separate intervention from the computer replacement and illustrates a practical use of remote IT support.
Remote assistance is useful when the computer, internet connection and required card or token are available to the user, and the work can be completed through software configuration. If a reader, connection or other equipment needs physical inspection, the intervention method depends on the problem.
What to prepare for computer replacement or certificate support
Describe the data and applications to transfer, the printer in use, the certificate issuer, card or token and required portals. If an error appears, describe it or provide a screenshot with personal and confidential information removed. Enter your PIN personally when the application requests it. Share other necessary access details only through an agreed secure procedure.
